Your files never leave your browser. All APNG conversions and compressions happen locally using browser APIs. We collect minimal, anonymous usage analytics only. We never sell your data.
1. What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or process your files in any way. All image conversions, compressions, and format changes happen entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript and browser APIs (Canvas API, CompressionStream, WebAssembly). Your image files are never transmitted to our servers.
2. Anonymous Usage Analytics
We collect minimal, anonymous analytics to understand how our tools are being used. This includes: • Which tool was used (e.g., "png-to-apng", "compress") • Approximate file size range (to understand typical workloads) • Timestamp of the conversion We do NOT collect: your IP address (beyond what's typical in server logs), any personally identifiable information, the content of your files, or any information that could identify you.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
APNG.dev uses minimal browser storage. We may store user preferences (such as theme settings) in localStorage. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Vercel/Netlify for hosting. These services have their own privacy policies and process standard server access logs.
5. Children's Privacy
APNG.dev is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
